New 3s Brushless Horsepower
Rustler’s new Velineon 3s power system is a brushless powerhouse that transforms 11.1 volts of LiPo power into brutal acceleration and 60+ mph speed with no gearing changes required. The fan-cooled VX3 speed control is feature-packed and simple to use with Traxxas EZ-Set one-button programming. The powerful V3200 motor is a model of efficiency with internal fan cooling for long run times.
New GTR Shocks
Rustler’s ultra-plush ride comes courtesy of new composite GTR shocks on all four corners. GTR shocks hold over 70% more oil than standard Ultra Shocks for consistent damping performance. X-ring seals keep oil in and dirt out for smooth suspension compression and rebound. Spring preload and ride height changes are as simple as turning the threaded collar and the spring retainers are captured with a screw so they can't pop off.
New Metal-Gear Servo
Rustler 2WD Brushless needs a fast and powerful steering servo to match its quick reflexes and agile handling. A new upgraded servo delivers 15% more torque with the superior durability of an all-metal gear train. Rustler also receives an improved bellcrank steering assembly with a cam-operated servo saver to enhance steering precision and protect the servo from impacts.
New Clipless Body
Rustler’s new clipless body features more aggressive styling and a molded rear wing borrowed from Rustler 4X4. Heavy-duty latches grip the body tightly for rough-and-tumble action, but release in just seconds for fast battery swaps. This convenient hidden latching system replaces traditional body clips with reinforced panels to maintain body integrity and resist pull-through damage.

Wheelie Bar
A wheelie bar is an absolute necessity for a vehicle with the out-of-the-box 60+ mph speed and wheel-standing torque of Rustler 2WD Brushless. The wheelie bar is positioned perfectly to allow massive wheelies while keeping Rustler under your control. An integrated carry handle allows quick and easy transport to your next adventure.
Extreme HD Driveshafts
Rustler's Extreme HD driveshafts are beefed up in critical areas to handle the outrageous power of the Velineon 3s brushless power system. The large-diameter half shafts offer excellent articulation and suspension travel while putting massive torque to the ground.
Velineon V3200 Motor
Designed for 3-cell LiPo batteries, the V3200 motor is optimized for extreme power and efficiency with a large 5 mm output shaft. Ultra-high temperature sintered Neodymium magnets provide massive torque and linear power. The unique low-maintenance design features high-speed ball bearings and an integrated cooling fan for consistent power, run after run.
VX3 Electronic Speed Control
The fully waterproof VX3 ESC transforms 11.1 volts of LiPo power into 60+ mph performance with the simplicity of Traxxas EZ-Set one-button programming. A large aluminum heat sink with cooling fan keeps temperatures down for longer run times. The VX3 comes loaded with high-tech features like race-inspired High-Resolution Linear Braking and real-time telemetry via Traxxas Link (requires TQi transmitter with installed wireless module).
3-Channel TQi Sport Receiver
The TQi Sport receiver is compatible with all TQi and TQi Sport transmitters. A built-in failsafe returns the throttle to neutral and holds the steering in the last known position in the event of a signal loss.
Waterproof Electronics
Your RC experience should be filled with fun and adventure, not limited by the electronics. Rustler's new receiver box is molded into the chassis for increased strength. A patented O-ring seal keeps water out, giving you the freedom to live out your wildest adventures, regardless of the weather.
Clipless Battery Strap
Rustler holds batteries securely in place with the convenience of a rugged clipless battery strap. Swing the heavy-duty strap up and out of the way to swap batteries. Once loaded, just snap the tab into the latch and your battery stays secure until you release it.
Bellcrank Steering
Rustler's high-performance bellcrank steering system nearly eliminates bump steer for precise wheel placement and increased cornering stability. A cam-operated servo saver increases steering precision while protecting the servo against impacts.
Reinforced Shock Towers
Rustler's shock towers feature structural reinforcement bracing to minimize flex and provide a rigid mounting point for the body. Reducing flex allows the suspension to soak up bumps without upsetting the chassis for a smooth and controlled ride.
LED-Ready Front Bumper
Rustler's rugged tube-style front bumper helps ward off crash damage to protect the chassis. The bumper also features bosses to mount accessory LED lights, parts TRA3791 & TRA2263 (sold separately).

Metal Gear Magnum 272 Transmission
The Magnum 272 transmission features all metal gear internals riding on ultra-smooth sealed ball bearings. The sealed gearbox protects the transmission components from dirt and rocks.
Torque-Control Slipper Clutch
The Torque-Control slipper clutch uses special semi-metallic friction material and finned aluminum alloy pressure plates to dissipate heat and provide consistent traction control. Spur gears can be removed and replaced without altering the slipper adjustment.
Planetary Gear Differential
The composite planetary gear differential features a steel ring gear for long life. It uses hardened steel internal gears for maximum strength during rigorous off-road bashing. This type of differential requires virtually no maintenance, and its efficient design puts maximum tire-shredding torque to the wheels.
