GT-Maxx Aluminum Shocks
Maxx Ultimate adds ultra-smooth TiN-coated shafts, color-matched aluminum shock caps, and threaded adjustment rings to its aluminum GT-Maxx shocks. These large-bore shocks provide ultra-plush damping over rough terrain with double X-ring seals to keep out dirt. The machined aluminum bodies are threaded to adjust ride height with captured lower spring retainers that won't pop off, even on the harshest landings.
Steel CV Driveshafts
Steel constant-velocity driveshafts offer the ultimate in torque handling and efficient power transfer for Maxx Ultimate's massive 540XL motor. Heavy-duty steel drive cups allow full articulation and hold the press-fit dogbones securely in channels.
Shock-Absorbing Cush Drive
Traxxas' innovative Cush Drive; uses a special elastomer damper to absorb driveline shocks from the upgraded steel spur gear for superior reliability. There is nothing to slip or adjust, just instant acceleration and precise throttle control.
Aluminum Transmission Cover

An aluminum double-shear servo horn eliminates flex for fast, responsive steering at high speeds.
Precision Steering
Machined from tough 6061-T6 aluminum, Maxx Ultimate's ultra-rigid bellcrank assembly drastically enhances steering precision and strength. Tight tolerances and a servo saver bushing allow the bellcranks to pivot smoothly on sealed ball bearings with a heavy-duty servo saver spring for added protection.

Adjustable TUBES toe links make it easy to dial-in the perfect settings for greater precision and control. TUBES are lighter than steel and stronger than titanium with a unique hollow tube design which maximizes rigidity while reducing weight.
