This is the Hot Racing Aluminum Differential Locker Spool for Traxxas X-Maxx 8S trucks for use in the front, center, or rear diff locations.
With a traditional center differential, power is transferred to the front tires as the vehicle accelerates and the front tires are unloaded, thus allowing them to slip and resulting in the loss of torque and acceleration due to tire spin. The center spool replaces the diff action and applies the most torque to the tires that have the most traction. This equates to much greater acceleration when compared to a vehicle equipped with a center differential. Due to the increased torque and stress on the drivetrain, this part is recommended for off-road use only.
This spool can be use in the front or rear differential too (with the provided center aluminum diver cup mount Rod)
This part replaces the Traxxas 7796 center diff assembly (minus 7784X)

Installation
Application of grease
Reuses Traxxas 7784X output gear, existing bearings, shaft, and pinion gear
For front and Rear Differential Reuses Stock Diff gear, Diff Cup and the Out Drive Cup
Check for proper screw installation before use
Medium thread lock (e. g. blue Loctite) on screws
