This is the GPM Rustler VXL Front Adjustable Spring Damper (Gray Silver)
This alloy front spring damper assembly is a performance-oriented aftermarket upgrade for the TRAXXAS 1/10 Rustler VXL platform. The set includes an adjustable damper body with alloy ball top and alloy ball ends, and three coil spring wire sizes to alter initial spring rate. The 4mm shaft and alloy components are chosen to improve structural stiffness and repeatability during suspension tuning.
Designed to fit the Rustler VXL front mounting points, the unit installs without chassis modification when replacing standard front dampers. Alloy ball top and ball end fittings reduce joint compliance compared with plastic counterparts, improving steering precision and suspension feedback. The included spring range allows quick swaps to evaluate ride height, initial stiffness and corner control.
Recommended procedure is to begin with the 1.5mm spring and nominal preload and rebound settings, then evaluate performance changes with the 1.3mm and 1.7mm springs. Inspect threaded adjusters for proper engagement and verify the 4mm shaft runs without binding across full travel. Regular inspection of ball ends and mounting hardware after sustained use will ensure consistent fit and performance.
