This is the AFX 2022 Ford GT Heritage #16 HO Slot Car
On February 9th of this year, Ford introduced the brand new 2022 Ford GT Alan Mann Heritage Edition #16 car. It pays homage to its predecessor the 1966 Ford GT40, whose lightweight prototypes helped Ford win Le Mans with the GT Mk II in 1966.
Alan Mann Racing’s signature red and gold exterior dons this year’s limited edition livery along with some contemporary exposed carbon fiber and Frozen White accents.
The rear wing of the 2022 Ford GT Heritage rises when raced to coincide with the speed it is driven. The AFX version is depicted wing-down, accentuating the dramatic curvature of the body. It goes without saying this Ford GT comes with stupefying, pulse-pounding power and speed. And, with clear headlights and gold racing stripes, this beauty doesn’t just pay tribute, it sets itself apart from its predecessor.
Chassis: Mega G+ LONG Wheelbase Chassis (1.7")
This chassis doesn’t just go faster or handle better than the competition. It wasn’t just built with the ultra-low, narrow dimensions of the original Mega G to continue the reign of the most realistic HO cars on earth. The Mega G+ Chassis is smoother, more consistent, and more intuitive than any car we’ve ever built.
